Wanted Terrell theft suspect arrested, facing additional charges

TERRELL, Texas β€” A wanted Terrell theft suspect accused of using a stolen credit card at area businesses was arrested earlier this month.

TERRELL, Texas β€” A wanted Terrell theft suspect accused of using a stolen credit card at area businesses was arrested earlier this month.

The man, 27-year-old Neiman DeMarcus Roberts of Dallas, Texas, was the subject of a Kaufman County Crime Stoppers bulletin with a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest prior to his capture on February 7, 2015, by local law enforcement.

Roberts was arrested in Terrell in a car, according to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom. The officers immediately recognized him and made the arrest, he said.

Roberts is accused of using a stolen credit card at the new Dairy Queen restaurant and the Shell gas station on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 in Terrell, Texas.

In addition to two counts of credit card or debit card abuse of an elderly person, Roberts is being charged with two counts of theft of property less than $1,500 with two previous conviction with bonds of $75,000 and $100,000 and burglary of a building with a $50,000 bond. Both credit card abuse charges have bonds of $50,000 each.

Roberts is being held at the Kaufman County Jail.
