A Crime Scene Investigative unit arrived later to take photos and check for suspect fingerprints, and any additional evidence. Deputies were at the scene for hours after the crime was reported.

The crime left the neighborhood shaken and wanting answers as to what exactly occurred at the house and whether they themselves could be in danger. Deputies did tell residents that the crime did not appear to be random.
