FORNEY, Texas — A Kaufman County grand jury indicted a Forney woman for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for slamming her car into another man’s car in August which resulted in both vehicles overturning.

28-year-old Kiva Lindsey Bostick was indicted for aggravated assault to a date, family, or household member with a deadly weapon for using her car, a 2013 Mazda CX9, to strike a 2008 Dodge Caliber RT4 driven by a man she was allegedly dating or had a dating relationship with, according to the indictment.

The accident occurred on August 31, 2014, on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 in Forney, Texas, just north of U.S. Highway 80. After Kiva struck the victim’s vehicle, both vehicles overturned and came to a rest on their roofs in the northbound lanes of FM 548. Witnesses described Bostick’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the accident.

The victim was transported by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance to The Medical Center in Plano, Texas, with unknown injuries.

Bostick was arrested by the Forney Police Department after the accident and is currently being held in the Kaufman County Jail charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a $35,000 bond, driving while intoxicated on a $1,500 bond, and a hold for an affidavit to go off bond (ATGOB) for $35,000.

As of the latest grand jury session, Bostick only stands indicted on the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

Both cases against Bostick were dismissed in September 2016.
