CRANDALL, Texas (Texas Department of Transportation) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold a public meeting to gather public comments on the proposed roadway improvements to US 175 from Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 to County Road (CR) 4104 in Crandall.
The meeting will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Crandall High School cafeteria, 13385 FM 3039 in Crandall. Maps and displays will be available for viewing during the meeting and representatives from TxDOT, Kaufman County and project staff will be available to answer questions about the proposed project.
The meeting will be in an open house format with no formal presentation.
The project would extend from FM 148 in eastern Crandall to CR 4104—a total length of approximately 2.7 miles. The project would entail the construction of a new frontage road between FM 148 and CR 4104 on the south side of US 175. The proposed project would require approximately 41 acres of proposed right of way and an estimated 0.42 acre of proposed permanent easement.
The project costs approximately $12 million and construction is anticipated to start in 2020 and end by 2022.
