New faces emerge in Jackrabbit loss
FORNEY, Texas — Friday night the Jackrabbits faced the Ennis Lions and fell 52-0. The Lions were ranked #16 in the state and undefeated so far in District 8 5AII. In an attempt to keep the high-powered Ennis offense off of the field, the Jackrabbits departed from the usual Shotgun/Spread offense and put Quarterback Campbell Anderson under center with an “I” backfield. The attempt at a ball control offense proved to be for naught as Ennis simply over-powered the Jackrabbits in every aspect of the game.

Falcons use homecoming to overpower lowly Lions
FORNEY, Texas — North Forney was tired of losing. They had lost three in a row going into their matchup versus the Kaufman Lions. On homecoming night, the last place Lions were exactly what the doctor ordered. The Falcons were able to exert their will on Kaufman on both sides of the ball in route to a 48-20 victory that was never close.

Jackrabbit show a flash of offense
FORNEY, Texas — Coming out of halftime Friday night, the Jackrabbits looked as though they had finally figured out the problems on offense and were giving Jackrabbit fans a show. With the backfield empty and 5 wide receivers, Senior QB Campbell Anderson was 13 for 16 for 185 yards in the next three series, throwing 2 touchdowns passes to Senior Wide Receiver Riley McMurren in process. However that was about all of the offense that Forney could produce as they fell to Sulphur Springs Friday night 32-13 at City Bank Stadium. The loss puts the Jackrabbits at 2-4 on the season and 1-3 in District 8 5AII.

Falcons have no answer for Lions offense in loss to Greenville
FORNEY, Texas — The Falcons were looking to bounce back this week with a district win after back-to-back losses to Ennis and Corsicana. Things didn’t go according to plan in Greenville, however. North Forney’s defense had absolutely no answer for the Lions’ offensive attack. Greenville put on a scoring barrage that helped defeat the Falcons, 38-49.

FORNEY, Texas — North Forney won’t go undefeated in 2019. Following a 14-33 loss to the Ennis Lions on Friday night, the 2019 Falcons finally found out what it feels like to lose a game. In a game in which the Falcons trailed by only a touchdown at halftime it never felt as though North Forney threatened to take the lead. They never led and missed countless opportunities to breakthrough against Ennis.
