Crandall Officer Involved in Accident with Juvenile Pedestrian
Crandall, TX - October 20, 2025 - An incident involving a Crandall police officer and a juvenile pedestrian occurred on Monday afternoon, raising concerns about safety in the area. The event took place around 5:00 p.m. as the officer was responding to a dispatched call in the Heartland neighborhood with lights and sirens activated.
Details of the Incident
While traveling northbound in the 4000 block of FM 741, the officer approached the intersection of FM 741 and Caribou Lane when two teenagers unexpectedly ran into the path of the patrol vehicle. In an effort to avoid a collision, the officer executed an evasive maneuver; however, one of the juveniles, a 13-year-old female, was struck by the vehicle.
Injuries and Medical Response
Fortunately, the young girl did not appear to sustain any major injuries. She was promptly assessed by the Crandall Fire Department and CareFlite paramedics at the scene. After evaluation, she declined transport to a hospital and was subsequently released to a family friend.
