The four were identified as the ones who committed the burglary in Windmill Farms and booked on Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office charges of engaging in organized criminal activity with bonds set at $7,500.
After an investigation by the Forney Police Department, it was found that three of the suspects —Points, Stewart, and Roberts— were connected to a string of burglaries on October 17, 2014, according to Forney Police Department Captain Jason Ray.
Search warrants were executed at the students’ dorms at TVCC in Athens, Texas, and stolen property was recovered which linked to Forney, Kaufman County, and Tyler. A stolen firearm from Forney was also recovered in Pasadena, Texas, which is near Houston, Texas.
Stewart and Roberts have since posted bond and have been released from the Kaufman County Jail on the original organized criminal activity charge. Arrest warrants have been issued for the two which include additional burglary of a vehicle charges, theft of a firearm, credit card/debit card abuse, and organized criminal activity.
Points remains in the Kaufman County Jail on the original $7,500 bond for engaging in organized criminal activity and three new charges for burglary of a vehicle, two counts of credit card or debit card abuse, six new counts of organized criminal activity, and one count of theft of a firearm.
