Additional victims identified in Forney High School boys soccer team hazing, sexual assault investigation

FORNEY, Texas — Kaufman County investigators say additional victims have been identified in their ongoing investigation into hazing and sexual assault allegations on the Forney High School boys soccer team.

FORNEY, Texas — Kaufman County investigators say additional victims have been identified in their ongoing investigation into hazing and sexual assault allegations on the Forney High School boys soccer team.

Last month, five students —an adult and four juveniles— were arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.

Although the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office was able to confirm additional victims have been identified, they were unable to confirm if additional suspects or charges are pending, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Last week, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant D. Gammon sent a letter to parents of boys soccer team members requesting forensic interviews with team members in the department’s ongoing effort to identify additional victims or offenses.

“We are also attempting to preserve all evidence that may be relevant to the allegations of hazing and sexual assault regarding the Forney High School soccer team,” he stated in the letter. “We are asking that you preserve any and all communications with Forney High School, members of the Forney High School soccer team, coaches or staff involved with the Forney High School soccer team, and any other communications with any individual that could possibly pertain to this investigation.”

“These communications include, but are not limited to emails, texts, Facebook posts, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc,” he stated.

“We intend to take all necessary steps to protect the victims in this matter,” he stated. “Any information you or your child may provides is important to this investigation and your assistance is appreciated.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. D. Gammon at (972) 932-9631.
