FORNEY, Texas – An arrest warrant affidavit, obtained by inForney.com, reveals details which led to the arrest of two alleged armed robbery suspects who face charges in a number of armed robberies of mostly fast-food restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

One of the suspects, according to the affidavit, is also linked to a series of similar armed robberies in 2015 – similarities that investigators and Federal Bureau of Investigations agents used to aid in identifying him.

The alleged suspects, identified by police as 21-year-old Eraycio Clark of Dallas, Texas, and 20-year-old Devundre Ghoston of Mesquite, Texas, now face multiple charges for aggravated robbery and are being held at the Dallas County Jail on bonds totaling over $1 million.

Police alleged the two may be responsible for up to 19 robberies in 15 different DFW-area cities since December 28, 2017.

A break in the case came January 25, 2018, after two robberies occurred in Ennis and Palmer at a gas station and a Waffle House. The suspect vehicle, a white Dodge Charger, was spotted by Waxahachie police officers who attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before two suspects fled on foot in the Waxahachie area, according to the affidavit.

The Waxahachie Police Department impounded the Charger and, during an inventory of the vehicle, discovered an ID for Ghoston, cash spread throughout the floorboard of the vehicle, two bank bags, several pistols, gloves, clothing, and bandanas.

Among the clothing was a blue shirt with small white astronaut logos on it which was immediately recognized by Mesquite Police Department investigators as matching a shirt worn on the head of one of the suspects in several of their robbery offenses.

Investigators also learned the Dodge Charger was an Enterprise rental vehicle. The renter's credit card was located in the vehicle and she was tracked to an apartment in Mesquite where police found her and Ghoston – just hours after the pursuit in Waxahachie.

During an interview with police, Ghoston waived his Miranda rights and admitted to several area robberies – including the Waffle House in Ennis and the Exxon in Palmer which culminated in the pursuit in Waxahachie, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit states Ghoston implicated himself in 12 of 17 aggravated robberies which occurred prior to the two in Ennis and Palmer, for a total of 14 out of 19 aggravated robberies being investigated.

He further implicated himself, according to the affidavit, in the armed robbery of the Jack in the Box located at 1150 Interstate Highway 30 in Mesquite on Jan. 6, as a lookout in the armed robbery of the Jack in the Box located at 2100 North Galloway in Mesquite on Jan. 6, and the armed robbery of the Whataburger located at 2943 North Galloway in Mesquite on Jan. 9.

During the investigation, detectives referred to a prior intelligence bulletin from 2015 in which the Richardson and Plano police departments identified three Clark brothers in a series of armed robberies of fast-food robberies. Eraycio Clark was identified as one of those suspects and, through further investigation, identified as Ghoston's accomplice.

FBI agents cited several similarities between the 2015 offenses and the recent string of robberies.

Investigators also learned of two Facebook accounts owned by Clark in which he was depicted in several pictures wearing a β€œdistinct Puma sweat suit.” That Puma sweat suit was compared to and identified as the Puma sweat suit worn by one of the suspects captured on several surveillance systems during several of the robberies.

On January 30, 2018, the Mesquite Police Department announced the arrest of Ghoston and Clark in connection with three Mesquite robberies. Both have since been transferred to the Dallas County Jail where charges continue to mount against them – including charges for aggravated robbery from the Euless Police Department, the Ellis County Sheriff's Office, the Collin County Sheriff's Office, the Terrell Police Department, the Ennis Police Department, and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.

Clark was on probation for aggravated robbery at the time of his arrest. A motion to revoke has been filed in that case.

Police say additional charges are likely for both Ghoston and Clark and the investigation progresses.
