Police say continued citizen tips aided in ongoing police investigations into suspected drug-related activity at the home.

Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom says Terrell Police Department narcotics investigators, detectives, and patrol officers executed a search warrant at the home, at 505 North Adelaide Street #A, on April 28, 2017, at 12:05 p.m.

Upon arrival, four individuals were observed standing in the front yard and on the front porch. Another individual was located inside. Inside, investigators located another baggie containing suspected methamphetamine inside the main room as well as drug paraphernalia such as digital scales and baggies commonly used in the packaging and distribution of illegal narcotics.

The suspected methamphetamine tested positive and weighed 16.8 grams.

Sansom says all five were arrested and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, a first-degree felony.

““This is great example of community involvement,” stated Interim Chief of Police Ken McKeown. “Investigators had already been monitoring this location for suspected drug activity, and additionally a citizen made frequent tips regarding it.”

“If you have information regarding suspected drug activity in your neighborhood always feel free to report it to the Narcotics unit,” he said.
