CRANDALL, Texas — The execution of a search warrant following a months-long investigation at a residence on Meadow Lane yielded an arrest and seizure of marijuana, methamphetamine, and pills, according to Crandall Police Department Chief Dean Winters.

Winters says an investigation began in September after investigators learned marijuana and methamphetamine were possibly being sold from the residence in the 100 block of Meadow Lane.

Crandall Police Department officers executed search warrants on Thursday, February 2, 2017, and Tuesday, February 14, 2017, and seized one pound of marijuana, eight grams of crystal methamphetamine, 526 grams of liquid methamphetamine, and pills identified as Xanax and Vicoden. Officers also seized scales and baggies commonly associated with the distribution of narcotics, stated Winters.

46-year-old Lee Scott Reed was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana between four ounces and five pounds and possession of a dangerous drug.

“This continues to be an ongoing investigation with additional charges pending,” stated Winters.

“The Crandall Police Department wants to thank the residents for their vigilance in assisting in the investigation,” he said. “That partnership helps keep the community safe and without that partnership, this individual would still be a danger to our community.”

“The Crandall Police Department will continue to use all available resources to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the City of Crandall,” stated Winters.
