KAUFMAN, Texas — A number of crime stoppers tips led police to the identity of a woman who allegedly robbed the Kaufman Walmart and led police on a high-speed pursuit with her daughter in tow.
The Kaufman County Crime Stoppers, on behalf of the Kaufman Police Department, asked the public for their assistance in identifying the woman. Within minutes, Kaufman Police Department Captain Ed Black says their department and the crime stoppers organization were flooded with tips.
The woman has been identified as Megan Boulter, according to the Kaufman Police Department. Police are now seeking her whereabouts.
Black says Boulter stole from the Walmart store in Kaufman, Texas, and, while attempting to flee, tried to run over a Walmart loss prevention employee — leading to an aggravated robbery charge.
Boulter then led Crandall police on a high-speed pursuit. Due to her erratic driving, and because police knew the child was in the vehicle, pursuing officers called off the chase.
Boulter is also facing charges for child endangerment from the Kaufman Police Department and possible charges from the Crandall Police Department as a result of the police pursuit.
Anyone with information on Boulter’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Kaufman County Crime Stoppers at (877) 847-7522 or the Kaufman Police Department at (972) 932-3094. Reference case No. 17-02349.
