FORNEY, Texas — A Forney man has been charged with kidnapping, terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury, and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle following multiple disturbances on Friday.
FORNEY, Texas — A Forney man has been charged with kidnapping, terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury, and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle following multiple disturbances on Friday.
Around 2:20 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, the Forney Police Department received a disturbance call in the Heritage Hill area about a man who confronted a woman, her 13-year-old daughter, and her daughter’s 13-year-old friend.
The woman tells inForney.com the man blocked her vehicle while at a stop sign, rolled down his window, began yelling profanities, stated he had a gun and threatened to kill her, and threatened physical violence on her daughter.
The man exited his truck, attempted to open the woman’s daughter’s door, found it to be locked, and punched the window, she said.
The woman was able to flee the scene and call 911.
Moments later, police received a separate disturbance call on Appaloosa Trail in the Mustang Creek subdivision of a man who attempted to kidnap a 21-year-old woman. The victim’s mother chased the man from the scene.
Police say the man attempted to pull the woman into his truck as she was walking.
Officers located the vehicle near Tumbleweed and Starlight where they attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and led police on a brief pursuit westbound on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 to Redbud Drive where the pursuit concluded in the 700 block of Redbud Drive.
The man, identified as 30-year-old Chad Anthony Hill of Forney, Texas, was arrested without further incident.
Hill has been charged with kidnapping, terroristic threat causing fear of imminent serious bodily injury, and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle and is being held at the Kaufman County Jail. As of Sunday evening, bond information was not available.
