TERRELL, Texas — Four people were arrested Halloween night after a masked aggravated robbery in Terrell, Texas, and are being held on $100,000 bonds at the Kaufman County Jail.

Just before 8 p.m., the four suspects approached a man in the street in the 600 block of Greenwood Street in north Terrell. The masked suspects demanded money from the victim at gunpoint and with a bat, according to Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom.

The four, identified as a 15-year-old juvenile, 17-year-old Deuce Marquise Stewart, 17-year-old Candido Eli Ocanas, all of Seagoville, Texas, and 20-year-old Sergio Eliseo Sanchez of Dallas, Texas, then fled the scene.

A Kaufman County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted a vehicle traveling south on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 in the northbound lanes and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Tiger Mart gas station parking lot. The victim in the aggravated robbery approached the officer as he was making the traffic stop and alerted him to the earlier armed robbery, stated Sansom.

The deputy requested additional assistance, notified the Terrell Police Department, and detained the four suspects.

Police recovered the victim’s license, wallet, and money from the suspect’s vehicle and also other identifying information, two masks, and a bat. The gun was not located after searching the vehicle and surrounding area.

The juvenile was also found to be in possession of a small plastic bag containing nine 2mg Alprazolam pills and charged with aggravated robbery, possession of dangerous drugs, and forgery of a financial instrument. He was transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center in Greenville, Texas.

Stewart, Ocanas, and Sanchez were each charged with aggravated robbery and later transferred to Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center on $100,000 bonds each.
