FORNEY, Texas — Four defendants pled guilty to murder in the shooting death of George Moss at his Windmill Farms home in November 2015, two of which also pled guilty to assaulting a public servant during a jail-house fight.

The four, Jarvis Kimble, Deion Young, Henre Davis, and Robert Grayson, each pled guilty in Kaufman County’s 86th District Court to murder and received sentences ranging from 15 years to 33 years.

Kimble, the alleged shooter, and Young, approached Moss’ residence on November 28, 2015, in the 3200 block of Clear Springs Drive with the intent to robbing the residence. Grayson, then 16 years old and later certified to stand trial as an adult in the case, was in an awaiting vehicle with Davis.

Moss was later found deceased on his front porch with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

Kimble was sentenced to 33 years, Young to 25 years, Davis to 20 years, and Grayson to 15 years. All were transferred to the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice earlier this month.

While in the Kaufman County Jail, Davis and Grayson fought each other and, during the course of the fight, a Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputy was assaulted — which resulted in both being charged with assaulting a public servant. Both pled guilty and received five year sentences to be served concurrent with their murder sentences.
