On Monday, January 8, 2018, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Terrell Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of S. Rockwall Avenue in regards to an aggravated robbery that had just occurred.

"Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the reporting party who stated that at around 3:49 a.m., he was driving his white 2007 Chrysler 300 southbound in the 300 block of S. Rockwall Avenue," stated the release. "An unknown subject walked in front of his vehicle and fell down in the road."

The Good Samaritan stopped his vehicle, rolled down his window to check on the man, and heard moaning and groaning as if the man was injured. The Good Samaritan then exited his vehicle to check on the man and, upon approaching the man, the Good Samaritan was struck in the stomach.

The suspect then produced a handgun and pointed it at the Good Samaritan who fell to the ground believing he was going to be shot by the suspect.
