Kaufman man sentenced to 123 Months in federal prison for multiple bank robberies

KAUFMAN, Texas — A Kaufman, Texas, man was sentenced to 123 months in federal prison for multiple DFW-area bank robberies between November 2016 and January 2017.

KAUFMAN, Texas — A Kaufman, Texas, man was sentenced to 123 months in federal prison for multiple DFW-area bank robberies between November 2016 and January 2017.

51-year-old Danny Michael Hall was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater to 123 months in federal prison for committing multiple bank robberies, announced U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox of the Northern District of Texas.

Hall, who has been in custody since his arrest in January 2017, pled guilty in June 2017 to one count of bank robbery.

According to a plea agreement factual resume, Hall admitted to robbing the BB&T Bank branch located at 11800 Preston Road in Dallas on November 28, 2016; Chase Bank branch located at 11611 Preston Road in Dallas on December 22, 2016; Wells Fargo branch lcoated at 1405 E Renner Road in Richardson on January 9, 2017; and the Capital One Bank branch located at 4208 Lemmon Avenue in Dallas on January 18, 2017.

According to the factual resume, during the Wells Fargo robbery, Hall approached the teller and handed her a note that read, "I have a gun, this is a robbery, and give me the cash." The teller gave Hall $2,962 cash from the teller drawer and he left the bank.

Hall was later identified in a photographic line-up by the teller and arrested in the robbery.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Shane Read prosecuted.
