Kaufman man used business as a meth front, undercover investigation reveals

The Kaufman County Narcotics Division and Kaufman Police Department have finalized a three month long undercover investigation into a Kaufman man who they believed to be selling meth.

The Kaufman County Narcotics Division and Kaufman Police Department have finalized a three month long undercover investigation into a Kaufman man who they believed to be selling meth.

According to a press release from the Kaufman County Sheriff’s department, Timothy Shane Brockway, 30, of Kaufman, was “arrested and charged with three different offenses of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one over 4 grams but under 200 grams.” The press release also stated that “Brockway was known to be selling the meth out of his car audio business located in Kaufman for some time.”

Over 301 grams of meth were seized along with scales and nine glass pipes used to smoke the meth. That amount of meth is believed to have a street value of over $30,000. Sources, along with the KCSO, confirm that Shane’s Car Audio in Kaufman was Brockway’s front for selling the illegal meth.

Brockway is being held at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center on a bond set at $3,000,000. According to Kaufman County Court records, Brockway has previous charges including sexual assault of a child, possession of a controlled substance, and assault causing bodily injury.
