FORNEY, Texas β€” One man was arrested late Wednesday night following a hour-long, high-speed, multi-county motorcycle pursuit from Kemp into downtown Dallas and back into Kemp where it ended with a crash.

Approximately 10:20 p.m., the Kemp Police Department began pursuing the motorcycle westbound on U.S. Highway 175 in Kemp, Texas.

The man fled westbound on U.S. Highway 175 from Kemp, through Kaufman, through Crandall, and into Dallas County.

A Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter joined the pursuit near the Dallas-Kaufman County line. Police say the man fled at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour and, at time, nearly reaching speeds of 150 miles per hour.

From there, police say the man continued fleeing on westbound U.S. Highway 175 into downtown Dallas, northbound on U.S. Highway 75 into north Dallas, and temporarily slowed at Lemmon Avenue to turn around and head back south on U.S. Highway 75, and eventually back to Kemp on U.S. Highway 175.

Once back in Kemp, the man exited State Highway 274, turned south, and crashed near the intersection of SH 274 and Farm-to-Market (FM) 148.

In a last ditch effort, the man attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by the pursuing officers.

The Kaufman County Sheriffs Office, the Crandall Police Department, the Seagoville Police Department, the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety assisted in the pursuit.

The man has not been identified but say he will face charges for evading arrest.
