TERRELL, Texas — A 36-year-old Terrell man was arrested after leading police on a high-speed pursuit on a stolen motorcycle from Parker County to Dallas County on Wednesday night.
TERRELL, Texas — A 36-year-old Terrell man was arrested after leading police on a high-speed pursuit on a stolen motorcycle from Parker County to Dallas County on Wednesday night.
The pursuit began with a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempting to stop the motorcycle for a traffic violation in Parker County, west of Fort Worth, Texas, near the Interstate 20 and Interstate 30 intersection.
The man, identified as 36-year-old Robert Dalton of Terrell, Texas, was reportedly driving a motorcycle stolen out of Bedford, Texas, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lonny Haschel told the Dallas Morning News.
The pursuit continued through Tarrant County and into Dallas County where it eventually ended.
Troopers were aided by a DPS helicopter.
Dalton has an active warrant in Kaufman County’s Precinct 3 for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle with a previous conviction, according to court records. The charge was filed July 4 and the warrant was issued on July 10.
Following his arrest on Wednesday night, he was booked into the Parker County Jail on charges for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle with previous conviction, with $20,000 bond, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, with a $10,000 bond. Dalton is also being held on a $20,000 bond for the Kaufman County warrant.
