A Terrell man left a family member’s house in the 600 block of West Newton Street when he reported he was pushed to the ground, punched several times, and robbed.
At 4:28 a.m., the Terrell Police Department responded to the 1100 block of South Medora Street and spoke with the victim who said he believed the assault occurred on South Medora Street close to West Newton Street.
After the assault, the victim told police the suspect demanded all his money and reached into the victim’s pocket and stole $300 and his wallet which contained his Direct Express card, according to the Terrell Police Department.
The victim sustained visible injuries on his fingers from the fall and also stated his legs were injured from the assault. He refused transport to the hospital, according to police.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set, tall black male who was wearing a black jacket with a hood. He was further described as having a deep voice.
