Arrested were 20-year-old Jordan Points of Heath, Texas, 19-year-old Joshua McKinnies of Katy , Texas, 22-year-old Thaddeus Stewart of Houston, Texas, and 21-year-old Lakai Robinson of Camdem, New Jersey.

“We are aware of the situation and take all such allegations against our students seriously. The matter will be handled internally, as is our practice,” Mary Nicholson, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, said in a statement to inForney.com.

“TVCC athletic discipline procedures require automatic indefinite suspension,” she said. “Trinity Valley Community College is cooperating with the ongoing criminal investigation, and as such, has no further comment at this time.”

Each of the players were booked into the Kaufman County Jail on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2014, and charged with organized criminal activity on bonds of $7,500. Robinson and Stewart were released after posting bond on Thursday and Friday, respectively.
