TERRELL, Texas — Two men were arrested last week in Terrell following a drug raid in the 1300 block of South Adelaide.

On Friday, October 14, 2016, at approximately 5:15 a.m., the Terrell Police Department’s Narcotics and SWAT team executed a narcotics search warrant at unit 615 at the Brownstone Apartment Homes in the 1300 block of South Adelaide.

“After knock and announce, the team forced entry into the residence detaining Tecose D. Martin, 29, and Montaga R. Porter, 26,” stated Terrell Police Department Captain A.D. Sansom.

Three juveniles under the age of five were also located inside the apartment and later released to a family member.

While searching the residence, according to Sansom, officers located the following: suspect crack cocaine in a dresser drawer; two digital scales containing drug residue; $770 in U.S. currency; additional crack cocaine; a cell phone; and hidden zip bags containing suspected crack cocaine in the living room, suspected marijuana, and another bag containing other bags commonly used in packing illegal narcotics and another digital scale.

Porter and Martin were charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1, greater than or equal to four grams and less than 200 grams, and possession of marijuana less than two ounces. Porter was also charged with two misdemeanor traffic warrants out of Terrell.

“The crack cocaine was field tested and tested presumptive positive,” stated Sansom. “The crack cocaine was weighed on a digital scale and weighed out to one ounce or 28 grams.”

“Narcotics Investigators believe the above listed currency ($770.00) has been used in connection with and is proceeds of illegal narcotics transactions and was seized,” stated Sansom.

Porter was released from the Kaufman County Jail on Sunday after posting a $100,000 bond on the manufacture/delivery charge and a $3,000 bond on the possession of marijuana charge.

Martin remains jailed at the Kaufman County Jail on a $200,000 bond on the manufacture/delivery charge and $5,000 on the possession of marijuana charge.
