FORNEY, Texas — An 18-wheeler hauling a wide load struck a power line on Broad Street which resulted in the utility pole snapping and downing the lines, forcing the closure of the roadway and outages in the area.
FORNEY, Texas — An 18-wheeler hauling a wide load struck a power line on Broad Street which resulted in the utility pole snapping and downing the lines, forcing the closure of the roadway and outages in the area.
The incident was reported just after 2 p.m. in the 600 block of West Broad Street where the power lines are down. The truck was being led by a pilot vehicle with a height pole indicator.
Broad Street is closed between Pinson Road and the south service road loop near the Kids of Clay Daycare.
Nearby residents reported power outages. Oncor is reporting less approximately 18 customers have been affected by the outage.
Oncor Emergency crews are on scene.
