FORNEY, Texas — An 18-wheeler overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740/East Malloy Bridge Road between Forney and Seagoville on Monday afternoon and resulted in the complete closure of the road during cleanup.
FORNEY, Texas — An 18-wheeler overturned on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740/East Malloy Bridge Road between Forney and Seagoville on Monday afternoon and resulted in the complete closure of the road during cleanup.
The wreck was reported around noon in the sharp s-curve on FM 740 as it transitions into East Malloy Bridge Road in the flood plains between Forney and Seagoville.
The 18-wheeler, hauling sand, overturned as it was traveling northbound through the s-curve and is partially blocking the northbound lane of traffic.
The road was completely closed at 1:11 p.m. as a heavy-duty wrecker worked to upright the tractor-trailer and for cleanup.
No injuries were reported in the wreck.
The Forney Fire Department, Mesquite Police Department, Mesquite Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, CareFlite, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the wreck.
