FORNEY, Texas — An 18-wheeler’s trailer overturned on westbound Interstate 20 in Kaufman County forcing a closure of the highway.
The accident was reported at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and involved an 18-wheeler which was hauling two pup trailers — one of which overturned just after going over the Farm-to-Market 741 overpass on I-20. Another 18-wheeler slide sideways on the bridge due to icy conditions.
The highway was closed at the FM 741 exit and forced all the traffic off the highway at the exit and back onto the highway on the entrance ramp.
No injuries were reported in the accident. The Forney Fire Department, Talty Police Department, Mesquite Police Department, Mesquite Fire Department, and the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
