TERRELL, Texas — Weather permitting, traffic signal installation will continue through the week on Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 which will result in closures between Spur 557 and Interstate 20.
The closures will continue on Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will continue through November 20, 2015, according to Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) spokesperson Michelle Releford.
Alternating lanes will be closed during the construction and the entire roadway will not be closed at any one time, according to Releford. The shoulders will also be closed at various times between installations.
“Delays may occur and motorists are encouraged to seek different routes around this area,” stated Releford. “TxDOT urges motorists to be mindful of construction workers in the work zone.”
Crews alternated lane closures on November 14, 2015, during similar construction work in the area.
