FORNEY, Texas — Atmos Energy crews are working to repair a gas line which was struck around noon today while crews were working to replace a sewer line on East Brooks Street in downtown Forney.
According to Public Works Director Chris Metz, city crews were replacing the sewer line at the intersection of East Brooks Street and Lowrance Avenue when they struck a two-inch poly service line. The gas line was marked in the wrong location by an underground utility marking crew, he said.
No repair timeline was available. The break will likely only effect a small amount of customers.
