KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas – The Kaufman County Commissioners' Court extended a burn ban for unincorporated areas of Kaufman County this morning at a special commissioners' court meeting, September 29, 2014.
The burn ban will be effective immediately and for the next 30 days when the ban will be re-evaluated on October 27, 2014. The burn ban applies to brush piles and burn barrels.
Burn ban violations are a class C misdemeanor and could result in a fine up to $500 plus court fees.
