FORNEY, Texas — The City of Forney will conduct a controlled burn on Thursday morning, January 14, 2016.
“Beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow, the City of Forney Public Works Department will be conducting a controlled burn at the Forney Police Department gun range,” stated the City of Forney.
The gun range is located in the East Fork Trinity River bottoms south of U.S. Highway 80 and the power plane and just west of downtown Forney.
“The City is a permitted municipal burn site according to the rules and regulations set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ),” the statement continued. “The City has also notified the TCEQ about this controlled burn.”
