COMBINE, Texas — A two-story home in Combine was destroyed in an overnight fire.
At 10:51 p.m., on Sunday, April 3, 2016, the Combine Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the fire in the 900 block of South Farm-to-Market (FM) 1389, Kaufman County Assistant Fire Marshal Chad Woosley told inForney.com.
“The first arriving firefighter advised that there were flames through the roof,” according to Woosley who said the fire was reported under control by the incident commander at 12:10 a.m.
The house, which is reportedly abandoned, suffered significant damage due to the fire, according to Woosley.
The Crandall Fire Department was dispatched as automatic mutual aid to the scene and the Seagoville Fire Department was on fill-in at the Crandall Fire Department station.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
