FORNEY, Texas – A home described by neighbors as the “trash house” is scheduled for an eviction hearing on July 23, 2014, according to city officials.
The home is located in the 400 block of Carl C Senter Street in the Southlake neighborhood, west of Pinson Avenue. A large construction dumpster is parked in the driveway and the front lawn is filled with miscellaneous items including furniture, children’s toys, appliances, and more.
Neighbors say the problem is only getting worse as more and more stuff is collected in the front lawn of the home. Some cleaning of the front lawn was done by the tenant on Wednesday morning while city officials discussed the concerns with the property owner.
According to city officials, at least 10 citations, totaling over $13,000, have already been issued to the tenant of the home. Faced with a possible lien on the home or future legal action, the property owner requested the eviction hearing to have the tenant removed from the home.
