FORNEY, Texas — Construction crews are expected to work late tonight and possibly Saturday night to pour concrete in the Park Trails subdivision where work in the subdivision’s latest phase is in full swing.
Construction crews are expected to be working until around 2 a.m. to pour concrete due to cooler than expected temperatures this morning, according to City of Forney’s Public Information Officer Kyle Rouvaldt.
“With cooler temperatures anticipated Saturday morning as well, there is a possibility that construction crews will also be at work until late Saturday night,” he said.
Crews began preliminary dirt and drainage work on the newest phase in May to prepare for an additional 75 lots on 21.66 acres which connects to the Deerfield Heights and Park Trails phase 1 at Rustic Lane and Longhorn Trail, respectively.
Approximately 2.7 acres near Longhorn Lane and the Park Trails pond will be dedicated for park land. Although an amenities center wasn't included and approved in this phase’s final plat, the drawings suggest a future amenities center will be located on Longhorn Lane just north of the park and adjacent to the 2.7 acres of park land dedication.
