KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A detached garage and a vehicle were destroyed in a fire on Saturday afternoon, May 16, 2015.
The Forney Fire Department responded to the garage fire at approximately 1 p.m. on South Kelly Road — which is located off of Farm-to-Market (FM) 2757 south of Forney, Texas.
The Crandall Fire Department and Terrell Fire Department were requested for mutual aid.
Responding firefighters reported smoke showing from the area of the reported fire. Upon their arrival, the detached garage was fully engulfed in flames as well as a vehicle which was parked inside the garage. The garage was approximately 20 feet from the main residence.
No injuries were reported in the fire. The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene investigating the cause of the fire.
