COMBINE, Texas — A family avoided injury after their vehicle overturned in a construction zone in Combine, Texas, on Tuesday night, December 2, 2014.

COMBINE, Texas — A family avoided injury after their vehicle overturned in a construction zone in Combine, Texas, on Tuesday night, December 2, 2014.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., the Combine Volunteer Fire Department and police department responded to the rollover accident on Farm-to-Market (FM) 3039 at the edge of the city limits.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on FM 3039 and hit a patch of gravel in a construction zone, lost control, and veered off the road, according to police. The vehicle then hit a dirt embankment created by construction equipment while grading and prepping the road and overturned.

The three occupants of the vehicle, according to police, were uninjured. A wrecker cleared the vehicle at 6:51 p.m.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the accident.
