FORNEY, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 was closed Friday night following a head-on collision south of Monitor Boulevard.
The accident was reported at approximately 6:45 p.m. and resulted in both north and southbound lanes being closed while emergency personnel transported one patient and removed the vehicles from the road.
The northbound lane was reopened at approximately 7:15 p.m. followed by the southbound lane at approximately 7:20 p.m.
At least one person was taken to Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Texas. A pregnant woman sought precautionary medical attention following the accident.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, and an East Texas Medical Center ambulance responded to the accident.
