FORNEY, Texas — The final plat for Phase 2 of The Cedars at Gateway apartments was approved Thursday night by the Forney Planning and Zoning Commission which will make way for a proposed six-building, 313-unit apartment complex across Gateway Boulevard from The Cedars at Gateway Phase 1.
FORNEY, Texas — The final plat for Phase 2 of The Cedars at Gateway apartments was approved Thursday night by the Forney Planning and Zoning Commission which will make way for a proposed six-building, 313-unit apartment complex across Gateway Boulevard from The Cedars at Gateway Phase 1.
The commission and city council previously approved a preliminary plat and site plan in December 2014.
The December site plan proposes six, three-story apartment on 14.188 acres in the Meadow Ridge Farm Planned Development district.
Five of the six buildings planned will be designated multi-family and the sixth will be designated multi-family, recreational, and leasing office use. Proposed amenities include a poll courtyard, a volleyball court, and a fitness center.
313 units are proposed ranging in sizes from 564-square feet to 1,410-square feet.
The units break down as follows: 22 564-square foot units; 44 575-square foot units; 84 716-square foot units; 20 817-square foot units; 44 828-square foot units; 36 1,076-square foot units; 12 1,133-square foot units; 24 1,238-square foot units; 18 1,317-square foot units, and nine 1,410-square foot units.
