FORNEY, Texas — Fire officials are investigating a construction equipment fire which occurred on Thursday night.
The fire was reported at approximately 9:15 p.m. in a construction equipment holding area near the Forney Community Park’s trail system where crews are working to lay a new parallel sewer line along the Main Street/Holly Leaf extension.
A truck, which appeared to be a water tanker, was fully engulfed in flames when police and fire personnel arrived on scene.
The fire was quickly extinguished and fire officials cordoned off a large area around the fire with fire line tape. The fire marshal was requested to investigate the fire.
