FORNEY, Texas — First responders extricated a man from his truck after it overturned on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 on Friday afternoon.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., the man was driving westbound on the north service road of U.S. Highway 80 near Reeder Road when his truck left the road, struck a culvert, overturned, and came to a rest on the passenger side of the truck.
The Forney Police Department and Forney Fire Department arrived and cut the man from his seatbelt, partially removed him through the driver’s door window, and cut and peeled the roof back to remove the man. The man was then transported by an East Texas Medical Center ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
A wrecker removed the vehicle.
