TERRELL, Texas — Firefighters were quick to extinguish a residential structure fire in Terrell on Wednesday evening.
The fire was reported at 6:35 p.m. in the 700 block of South Catherine Street in Terrell. The Terrell Fire Department requested mutual aid from the Forney Fire Department and Terrell Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire was knocked down a short time later and reportedly damaged the northeast corner of the home which consisted mainly of the living room and its contents. The rest of the home suffered smoke damage.
Neighbors say the home is occupied, however, nobody was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
