KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — With heavy rain forecast over the next several days, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Kaufman County beginning October 23, 2015, at 1 a.m. through Saturday night.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — With heavy rain forecast over the next several days, the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Kaufman County beginning October 23, 2015, at 1 a.m. through Saturday night.
“Rainfall amounts will average 3 to 6 inches across the watch area with potential for locally higher amounts,” stated the NWS.
The watch area covers a majority of North Texas including nearby Dallas, Hunt, Rockwall, Van Zandt, Ellis, and Henderson Counties.
“A Flash flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding,” stated the NWS. “You should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued for your area.”
