CRANDALL, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Flood Warning for the East Fork Trinity River near Crandall.

CRANDALL, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Flood Warning for the East Fork Trinity River near Crandall.

The warning is in effect from Saturday morning until late Sunday, or until the warning is canceled.

Moderate flooding is forecast as river levels reach the flood stage of 18 feet. At 9 p.m. Friday, the stage was 12.91 feet.

“The river should rise above flood stage by Saturday morning and continue to rise to a crest near 20 feet by Sunday after midnight,” stated the NWS. “The river should fall below flood stage by late Sunday afternoon.”

“At 20 feet, moderate our of banks flooding is expected,” the NWS continued. “Caution should be exercised near the river. Several rural roads will be underwater. Farm dan ranch land will be flooded.”
