KEMP, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 has reopened after a motorcycle wreck on Thursday night in the Lively area.
The wreck was reported just after 9 p.m. on FM 148 approximately one mile west of the Lively convenience store. The Kemp Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, a CareFlite ambulance and helicopter, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded.
FM 148 was closed to allow a CareFlite helicopter to land on the road and transport one individual.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with serious injuries.
