FORNEY, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 between Forney and Seagoville was closed on Tuesday night due to a fallen tree which was later struck by a vehicle.
FORNEY, Texas — Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 between Forney and Seagoville was closed on Tuesday night due to a fallen tree which was later struck by a vehicle.
At approximately 9 p.m., the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a tree that had fallen onto FM 740 in the East Fork Trinity River bottoms in between Forney and Seagoville.
At approximately 9:20 p.m., another 911 call came in about a vehicle striking the tree and the Forney Fire Department and CareFlite were dispatched to the scene.
The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office has closed FM 740 on the Forney side at FM 2757 and the Seagoville Police Department closed FM 740 on at Ross Lane.
No injuries were reported in the wreck.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash and the Texas Department of Transportation was requested to the scene to deal with the road closure and cleanup.
FM 740 was reopened at 11:09 p.m.
