FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Fire Department conducted training at the Cedars at Gateway apartments earlier this week.
The department conducted pre-planning and fire scenario drills at the apartment complex’s most recently completed building before leasing begins, stated Holcomb who said the training is conducted so firefighters can be better prepared to protect the residence of the building in case of an emergency.
The firefighters practiced standpipe hookups, search and rescue, and evacuations, among other drills.
