FORNEY, Texas — A reported stolen vehicle burned just south of U.S. Highway 80 on Saturday night.
Just after 9:30 p.m, the Forney Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on County Road 225 about 200 yards south of U.S. Highway 80 at the Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 exit. Firefighters arrived to the vehicle completely consumed by fire.
The fire was extinguished and the vehicle, which was unoccupied, was later determined to be stolen out of Dallas, Texas.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire. The Forney Police Department and Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office were also on scene.
