FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Firefighter Combat Challenge Team is holding a raffle fundraiser to assist with travel and other expenses associated with the team’s competition schedule.
FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Firefighter Combat Challenge Team is holding a raffle fundraiser to assist with travel and other expenses associated with the team’s competition schedule.
Prizes in the raffle include a 50-quart Yeti cooler, a custom built fire pit with cooking grate, and a voucher for your choice of a semi-automatic shotgun or an AR-15 at CYA Guns and Ammo.
Tickets are $10 each or three for $25 and can be purchased from one of the team members or at Forney Fire Department Central Station located at 104 East Aimee Street behind the Post Office. Team members include Russell Bannister, Ryan Elder, Connor Green, David Lawson, Brian Leathers, and Darren Yarborough.
The drawing will be held on August 3, 2015, at 7 a.m. and a video of the drawing will be uploaded to the team’s Facebook Page, here.
“We have had great support from our community in the past and we are asking for it once again,” states the team’s raffle flyer. “Thank you in advance.”
In June, after competing at a Tyler competition, the team qualified for the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge World Finals to be held in Montgomery, Alabama, in October.
