Forney Lions Club Angel Tree and Sharing the Love Senior Tree available for adoption

FORNEY, Texas — Angels with the Lions Club Angel Tree and the Sharing the Love Seniors Angel Tree will be available for adoption this Saturday, December 5, 2015, during Forney's Christmas on Main.

FORNEY, Texas — Angels with the Lions Club Angel Tree and the Sharing the Love Seniors Angel Tree will be available for adoption this Saturday, December 5, 2015, during Forney's Christmas on Main.

The Forney Lions Club Angel Tree serves nearly 200 children in the Forney Independent School district. The Lions Club tree will be setup at the Forney Sub Courthouse beginning at noon during Christmas on Main and will remain open until the angels are adopted, or the end of Christmas on Main which is around 6:30 p.m. following the tree lighting ceremony.

Once adopted, gifts for the Forney Lions Club will be collected on December 18, 2015, at Johnson Elementary and later distributed to the families during a special visit from Santa on December 20, 2015. Brookshire’s is also donating food to the families at this time.

The Sharing the Love Foundation and the Forney Senior Layden Center will be hosting an Angel Tree for Kaufman County area seniors. Their tree will be setup in the Forney City Hall Council Chambers from noon until 3 p.m.

Approximately 100 seniors are available for adoption. Gifts should be wrapped and delivered to the Layden Senior Center by December 15, 2015.
