FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Police Department, along with the Texas Rangers, are investigating a death in the 100 block of Villanova Circle in Forney, Texas.
Authorities were notified of an unresponsive male at the residence at approximately 6:31 p.m. Thursday afternoon, September 4, 2014. The male, who was the homeowner, was discovered not breathing in his backyard by his wife, according to police.
Investigators with the Texas Rangers division of the Texas Department of Public Safety arrived a short time later to assist in the investigation. Crime scene tape was wrapped around the home and investigators focused on the backyard where the male victim was found.
Investigators remained at the home late Thursday night and removed several items from the backyard.
The Forney Police Department released a brief statement early Friday morning. The statement did not indicate the department was seeking any suspects in the incident.
A family member identified the victim as 42-year-old Jack Fox.
