FORNEY, Texas — In a little over two weeks, City of Forney’s Assistant City Manager Gina Nash will step down to begin transitioning into her new role as the city manager for the City of Sachse.
FORNEY, Texas — In a little over two weeks, City of Forney’s Assistant City Manager Gina Nash will step down to begin transitioning into her new role as the city manager for the City of Sachse.
Last night, the Sachse City Council approved Nash as Sachse’s next city manager. Nash’s last day with the City of Forney will be May 21, 2015, as she prepares to begin with Sachse in June.
Nash has served as Forney’s assistant city manager since 2008 and took a leading role in many of the major transportation projects including the oversight of Texas Department of Transportation Pass-Through Toll Projects at Farm-to-Market (FM) 548, FM 740, FM 741, as well as work along U.S. Highway 80.
"I am blessed and honored to have been a part of and worked for the City of Forney for the last seven years." stated Nash in a City of Forney press release Tuesday morning. "I will miss Forney and wish the best for the community going forward."
"Gina has been a valuable assistant and has contributed greatly to the City of Forney. While I am sad to see her leave, I wish Gina and the City of Sachse the best,” stated City Manager Brian Brooks.
“Gina's commitment and dedication to serving the residents of Forney will be missed. Her countless hours of work throughout every week, highlighted her desire to work hard and continually improve the quality of life for the residents of Forney. The City would like to wish her best of luck in Sachse,” stated the release.
